FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of aerodynamic noise killing of pneumatic equipment and compressed gas or air outlet systems. Silencer comprises an inlet pipe and rigidly coupled thereto a housing made of porous material, housing is made from porous material in form of cylindrical and spherical shells, wherein one end of cylindrical shell is rigidly connected with end of inlet pipe, and other is rigidly connected with spherical shell or made integral with it from porous material. Housing can be made from cermet with degree of porosity in range of optimal values: 30…45 %, or in form of layered and cross winding from porous threads, wound on acoustically transparent frame, for example, wire frame, or from hard porous noise-absorbing material, for example metal-foam plastic or stone-shell.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
