METHOD FOR ATHEROGENICITY INDEX PREDICTION FOR TRAINED WORKERS EXPOSED TO MERCURY Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2627587 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: blood sample is taken from the patient on an empty stomach to obtain serum. The level of total cholesterol and high density lipoprotein cholesterol is determined in the blood serum, the atherogenicity index, mercury exposure load are calculated for the period of work in harmful working conditions, 4-5 years after the current time. The obtained results of patient examination are substituted into the equation obtained by the multiple nonlinear regression method with a direct step-by-step procedure of including the characteristics: U = 9.656572 + 0.0885618 × AI12 + 0.022347 × LOAD12 - 0.268078 × AGE2 + 0.002611 × AGE22, where U is the predicted value of atherogenicity index after 4-5 years; 9.656572 is a constant; 0.085618; 0.02234; 0.268078; 0.002611 are predictor coefficients; AI1 is the value of atherogenicity index at the time of examination; LOAD1 is the level of individual exposure load for the period of work in harmful conditions at the time of examination (mg); AGE2 is the calculated age for the predicted moment (age at the time of examination + 4-5 years) (years).

EFFECT: use of the method allows to predict AI with high accuracy, which can provide timely detection and correction of risk factors for early development of atherosclerosis in trained workers.
