SUBSTANCE: tape contains surface areas with three-dimensional embossing structures that are transferred to decorative plates. The outer surface of the press belt is digitally printed by coating in droplet form. Then, embossing structures are formed on the tape by removing material from uncoated sections of the press belt or applying it to uncoated portions of the latter. Before structuring the press belt, the length and width of the embossing structures are determined taking into account the expected extension of the press belt in the operating mode.
