SUBSTANCE: method involves the addition of chlorite to fishwater, having pH in the range of 5.5 to 8.5, at a concentration of 2.5 to 200 parts per million in terms of effective chlorine dioxide. The reaction is carried out for at least 60 minutes.
EFFECT: destruction of water mould is less toxic and safer than using bronopolis.
