FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: melt chraging system for horizontal casting of a strip of molten metal comprises a notch, in particular a nozzle (9), and at least one heating device (21, 22, 28) for heating the notch. The heating device may be located in the furnace hearth, side walls, in the partition, in the sill, overflow device and/or in the cover of the notch. The heating device comprises a porous burner or an inductive heat carrier.
EFFECT: prevention of metal freezing at the outlet from the notch.
