FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is described, including a method for RNA and DNA detection from dry biological samples and a set for RNA and DNA isolation from dry biological samples. The above method involves biological sample release from the carrier and convertion into a liquid form, cell walls lysis, precipitation, precipitate washing and nucleic acids elution therefrom. DNA and RNA precipitation is carried out with a solution containing isopropanol and C6H10O5 at initial concentration of 27 mg/ml, taken at a ratio of 40:0.5, respectively.
EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of means for nucleic acids isolation.
