FIELD: molecular biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molecular biology. A method for extracting nucleic acids from nail plates is proposed, including lysis of biological material in a buffer with guanidine thiocyanate, incubation for 20 minutes at 65°C, mixing, centrifugation at 13,000 rpm for 2 minutes; then precipitation of the supernatant liquid with isopropanol, removal of the supernatant and washing of the precipitate with alcohol solutions, dissolution of the precipitate containing nucleic acids in the buffer for elution.
EFFECT: invention provides increased purity and quantity of the resulting preparation of nucleic acids.
