FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves suspending beet pulp in the aqueous KOH solution to obtain a suspension with the concentration of dry substances of 5%, and heating the resulting mixture. Wherein suspending the beet pulp is carried out in the aqueous solution of KOH with the pH of 12.0-12.5, and when exposed to the acoustic field with a wide frequency spectrum and with the cavitation threshold value of the sound pressure produced by the hydroacoustic radiator and with simultaneous heating of the medium. After 30 minutes after the onset of the acoustic exposure or after reaching 60°C, the acoustic impact is terminated, and the suspension is further heated to the temperature of 90°C. The mixture is held at this temperature until the pH of the medium is reduced to 7.0-7.5 to obtain the final product.
EFFECT: shortening the process time of beet pulp treatment with obtaining a fodder product while saving energy costs for heating the suspension to a temperature optimal for hydrolysis.
