FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method involves generating a wave on a flat surface of a sample, placing a plane mirror on the wave path, the reflecting face of which is inclined relative to the normal to the sample surface toward the direction of wave propagation, recording the reflected radiation and calculating the indicator from the measurement results. The radiation is recorded on the sample surface. The mirror is placed in a plane that does not contain the normal to the plane of radiation incidence. At carrying out measurements, an angle α between the normal to the sample plane and the mirror is smoothly increased from zero, its value α* is fixed, at which the intensity of the recorded radiation is reset. The value of the indicator k' is calculated by the formula: k'=1/[cos(α2*)].

EFFECT: reducing the duration and laboriousness of measurements.
