FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes sequential irradiation with bremsstrahlung of a slit collimator made in the form of blocks of heavy metal with a gap between them, for different sizes of the collimator slit, measurement of the positron radiation distributions from the positron radiation detector to the positron converter, located behind the slit collimator, each size of the collimator slit and determining the size of the focal spot from positron radiation distributions as a function of coordinates.
EFFECT: possibility of determining the size of the focal spot of the high-energy part of the brake accelerator radiation.
