FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology. Cornea is marked behind the slit lamp. Note here that slit lamp light beam is brought into horizontal position to be oriented to projection of light slit. Horizontal axis of the cornea is marked; on operating table of femtolaser "Visumax". Further, using a microscope and a corneal protractor, the deviation of the corneal mark from the horizon line in the eyepiece of the microscope in degrees is determined. That is followed by correcting the axis of astigmatism taking into account the deviation in the program of the femtolaser "Visumax" and performing the operation on this apparatus.

EFFECT: method provides higher safety of the conducted correction of myopic astigmatism by ReLEx SMILE technology, as well as enables accurate determination of eyeball cyclotorsion and taking into account this parameter during the operation, which will positively affect the maximum possible visual acuity.
