FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a manganese monoxide/carbon MnO/C composite, which can be used as an effective anode material for lithium-ion current sources, cathode material for zinc-ion current sources. The method for obtaining said composite includes hydrothermal treatment of a reaction mixture containing an aqueous solution of a mixture of a manganese source and a carbon source, followed by filtration, washing, drying, and annealing in an inert atmosphere flow. Potassium permanganate KMnO4 is used as a source of manganese, and tartaric acid C4H6O6 is used as a carbon source at a molar ratio of potassium permanganate: tartaric acid = 1:(0.75÷2.5). Hydrothermal treatment is carried out under conditions of microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.45 GHz and a power of 15-20 W with constant stirring at a speed of 100-300 rpm at a temperature of 160-200°C and a pressure of 10-20 bar for 5-20 minutes. Annealing is carried out at a temperature of 490-650°C in a nitrogen atmosphere.
EFFECT: obtaining a manganese monoxide/carbon MnO/C composite with a large volume of mesopores without the use of environmentally harmful compounds, and reducing the duration of the process.
