FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: electric mode automatic control system of a melting facility provided with arc heating source and resistance heaters comprise an arc source control line including a power source configured to supply voltage to crown and hearth electrodes through a current controller and current conductors. The system also includes a resistance heater control line including a thyristor voltage regulator connected to the resistance heaters, a video image device for fixing surface of the melting metal with a sensor for controlling its aggregate state. The system includes a microprocessor unit configured to shut off the arc source control line at the time of complete melting of the charge based on signal from said control sensor and connecting the resistance heater control line.

EFFECT: improved regulation quality when material is heated in furnace.
