FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: implantable device comprises a flexible polymer film (10) comprising a bioresorbable polymer and eluting drug components. The film has openings (14) extending from the first (10a) to the opposite second surface (10b), raised protrusions (14a). The protrusions (14a) are protruded from the first surface (10a) so that each hole (14) is surrounded by one of the protrusions (14a). To produce a polymer film, a solution is obtained containing a polymer, a solvent and a drug. The solution is placed in a one-sided casting mould with elevations extending from the mould bottom. The polymer solution has a viscosity that suppresses the polymer self-current. The solution distribute around each elevation, followed by curing and forming a meniscus of the cured polymer around each elevation.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of implantable devices by improving film strength characteristics, drugs retaining and improving tactile sensations by increasing friction.
