FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intraocular lens comprising a substantially circular optical zone and having an optical front surface, an optical rear surface and an optical edge surface along the optical zone periphery, the optical edge surface connecting the optical front surface and the optical rear surface, and two haptics, each of which has a shoulder segment connected to the optical zone periphery, an elongated segment protruding from the shoulder segment, a haptical front surface and a haptical rear surface. At that, the central optical plane divides the optical edge surface in halves, and the central haptic plane divides the elongated segment in halves and is shifted in the forward direction relative to the central optical plane. The haptic front surface of each haptic comprises a front elongated surface, and the haptical rear surface of each haptic comprises a rear elongated surface. The front elongated surface of each haptic is shifted relative to the central optical plane by a distance of the first shift along a line parallel to the optical axis of the optical zone and the rear elongated surface of each haptic is shifted relative to the central optical plane by a distance of the second shift along a line parallel to the optical axis. The distance of the second shift is less than the distance of the first shift. The front elongated surface of each haptic is located in front of the central optical plane, and the rear elongated surface of each haptic is located rearward with respect to the central optical plane.
EFFECT: use of this invention will stabilise the patient's visual acuity.
