FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: insulator consists of an insulating element 1, end terminals 2 and a clutch 3. The clutch 3, produced of a dielectric material, is made of a cylindrical, conical, spherical, ellipsoidal, polygonal, prismatic, corrugated shape or a combined shape from a combination of the above-mentioned shapes. The clutch 3 is fixed to each end terminal 2 by a mouth 4 both to the side of the insulating element 1 and to the opposite side or it can be opened in both directions simultaneously. The clutch 3 is fixed to the end terminals 2 by means of various fastening devices.

EFFECT: installation of the insulator in an isolated suspension of any configuration.
