FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing nanoparticles of polysaccharides and their derivatives, partial oxidation thereof for the production of aldehyde groups and attachment of compounds with an amino group or another group with R-NH2, which react with an aldehyde group, in which a polysaccharide with a molecular weight of up to 1000 kD or its derivative is oxidized to produce aldehyde groups until an oxidation ratio of 5% to 55% of the sugar chains is produced, and then, at least, one nanomaterial that after attaching the aldehyde group, exhibits hydrophobic properties, is selected from the group consisting of: aliphatic or aromatic organic amines containing of 4 to 20 carbon atoms, amides and hydrazides of aliphatic and aromatic organic acids having from 4 to 20 carbon atoms, the hydrophobic amino acids, phosphatidylethanolamine, and, at least, one active substance containing, at least, one amino-, amido- or hydrazide group is added to a solution of the oxidized polysaccharide in water or in a mixture of water and organic solvent, the reaction is conducted at pH of 1 to 9, at a temperature of 10 to 100°C, and the total molar ratio of amino groups to aldehyde groups is of 20 to 0.5. A nanoparticle is also described.

EFFECT: method for producing polysaccharide nanoparticles under mild conditions has been developed to provide covalent bonds of therapeutic compounds that are sensitive to an aggressive environment.
