SUBSTANCE: power conversion device includes the branch resistance and the switching element and it is capable to perform the switching device stable control. The switching device includes the switching element (21a), which includes the gate terminal, the gate driver circuit (51a), that supplies the excitation voltage Vcc to the gate terminal of the switching element (21a), and the control unit (8), which generates the excitation signal for supply to the gate driver circuit (51a), and wherein the value, obtained by subtracting the threshold voltage Vth of the switching element (21a) from the value of the excitation voltage Vcc (21a) for supply to the switching element (21a) gate terminal is greater, than the product of Rsh+Rdc resistance value from the switching element (21a) emitter upto the negative electrode of the gate driver circuit (51a) and the maximum current value Ipeak, which flows through the switching element (21a).
EFFECT: provision of the switching device in the power conversion device, that is located between the power source and the load.
