FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: light diffuser contains the partially transparent first layer and the partially transparent second layer adjacent to it. The first layer is continuous and comprises a stretchable elastomer, and the second layer is a segmented layer containing a material with a high effective stiffness calculated as the product of the material thickness and the module of the material elasticity. The second layer contains a non-periodic pattern of segments having different sizes. The light diffuser is stretchable.
EFFECT: providing light scattering properties due to stretching.
