FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: amplifier is comprised of the several amplification stages on the basis of the matrix of the microtriodes with the field-emission cathodes. The output anode-grid line of the previous stage is the input cathode-grid line of the following amplification stage. The longitudinal sizes of the matrix of the microtriodes of all the amplification stages, except for the last one, are substantially smaller than the input SHF signal wavelength. The length of the last amplification stage microtriodes matrix can be random. The number of the amplification stages is selected in reliance on the target values of the amplification factor and the output power.

EFFECT: loss in mass-dimensional performances of the device and increase of the operating frequency upper limit.
