SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a tubular element for use with an aerosol-generating product, an aerosol-generating product containing a tubular element, and a method for manufacturing a tubular element for use with an aerosol-generating product. A tubular member for use with an aerosol-generating product comprises a first longitudinal channel and further comprises a gel-loaded porous medium. Said gel contains the active substance. The gel-loaded porous medium is corrugated. The gel containing the active substance contains a substance to form an aerosol. The gel containing the active substance contains from 60 percent to 95 percent by weight glycerol. Said active substance contains nicotine. The porous medium contains cotton.
EFFECT: inventions provide a tubular element for use in an aerosol-generating product and device that exhibits little or no leakage, and also provides a tubular element comprising a flow control system that effectively delivers the aerosol generated from the tubular element when heated by the aerosol-generating device.
