METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF INTRAOPERATIVE BLOOD LOSS IN PATIENTS WITH IDIOPATHIC SCOLIOSIS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/49

Abstract RU 2635503 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method is characterized by the hemostasis system study performed on the basis of an evaluation of the hemostatic system functional state using low-frequency piezoelectric thromboelastography (LPTEG), patient's body weight, the number of planned transpedicular fixation levels are determined, and the amount of intraoperative blood loss is predicted as a percentage of the circulating blood volume by the formula % CBV=35-0.3*M+0.22*TPF-0.24*CPI-0.56*CLRI±9, where % CBV is the predicted volume of blood loss as a percentage of the circulating blood volume; M is the patient's body weight; TPF is the number of transpedicular fixation levels; CPI is the intensity of blood clot polymerization; CLRI is the intensity of blood clot lysis and retraction.

EFFECT: higher prediction accuracy.
