FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for biometric identification of a user comprises an illumination unit configured to emit, at least, one first optical radiation per human body; a modulation unit configured to modulate, at least, one second optical radiation scattered from a human body; a sensor configured to detect the integrated power of, at least, one second optical radiation scattered from the human body; a processing and storage unit configured to switch the states of the modulation unit to receive a signal from the sensor such that each sensor reading corresponds to a particular state of the modulation unit, performing biometric user authentication.
EFFECT: providing reliable authentication and portability of the device.
