SUBSTANCE: complex has general formula (I) wherein R₁ and R₂ are the same and selected from unbranched or branched C₁-C₂₀ alkyl groups, R₃ is selected from phenyl groups optionally substituted with unbranched or branched C₁-C₂₀ alkyl groups, preferably substituted by one or more methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, t-butyl groups, or R₃ is a ketoimine group having the formula: wherein R' and R" are the same and represent a hydrogen atom, X₁ and X₂ are the same and represent a halogen atom, such as chlorine. A catalytic system, a method for (co) polymerization of conjugated dienes, and a method for polymerization of 1.3-butadiene or isoprene are also proposed.

EFFECT: cobalt complex can be included into a catalytic system suitable for the preparation of conjugated diene copolymers.
