SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bis-imine pyridine lanthanide complex with the common formula (I):

wherein Ln is neodymium (Nd), R1 and R2 are identical and selected from linear or branched C1-C20 alkyl groups, R3 and R4 are identical or different and selected from optionally substituted cycloalkyl groups, optionally substituted aryl groups, X1, X2 and X3 are identical and represent a halogen atom such as chlorine, bromine, iodine. A catalyst system for the (co)polymerization of conjugated dienes, a method (co) polymerization of conjugated dienes and a method for polymerization of 1,3-butadiene or isoprene are proposed as well. The bis-imine pyridine complex of lanthanides with the common formula (I) allows to obtain (co)polymers of conjugated dienes, including polybutadiene and polyisoprene with a high content of 1,4-cis units.
