FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises formation of a liquid complex Mg-M (M is titanium) in the absence of a halogen-containing compound by reacting of at least one organic oxygen-containing magnesium compound with at least one organic oxygen-containing titanium compound, silica support impregnation with the said liquid Mg-M complex and deposition of the said liquid Mg-M complex onto silica using a halogenated organoaluminium compound. During the first reaction step, the amount of moles of added titanium, based on 1 mole of magnesium, is in the range of 0.06 to 4, and before impregnation with a liquid Mg-M complex, the said silica support has a residual concentration of surface hydroxy groups ranging from 0.6 to 2 mmol/(g of silica). A catalyst composition on a silica support, its use and method for (co) polymerization of olefines in a gas phase with its presence are also described.
EFFECT: preparation of a catalyst composition with excellent sensitivity to hydrogen, unexpectedly high productivity and an improved activity profile.
