FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a magnesium halide solution for preparing a catalyst for olefin polymerisation. Magnesium halide solution contains magnesium halide, organic oxygen-containing titanium compound, hydroxy group-containing compound, organic solvent and additionally organic heterocyclic compound. Organic solvent is hydrocarbon and/or halogenated hydrocarbon. Organic heterocyclic compound is at least one selected from a group comprising an organic sulphur-containing heterocyclic compound, organic nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound and organic epoxy compound. Also disclosed are a method of producing a magnesium halide solution and use thereof for producing an olefin polymerisation catalyst.
EFFECT: disclosed solution has good stability and can be used to obtain a highly efficient catalyst for olefin polymerisation.
