FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to precision instrument-making and can be used in development and production of double-degree gyro units. Set objective is achieved by the fact that in the known method for determining the error of a two-stage gyro unit, which consists in installing a gyro unit on a fixed base, exposing its longitudinal axis to a vertical position, a measuring axis in a position, perpendicular to plane of meridian, switching to torque feedback mode, by closing circuit of transducer-transducer angle transducer moment sensor, turning on of gyro motor, acceleration of its rotor to rotation speed by 10–30 % higher than rated value, disconnection of the gyro motor supply, continuous measurement of the current in the winding of the torque sensor and the gyro motor rotor speed at its rpm, after the rotor is stopped, additionally the gyro with the longitudinal axis is turned through an angle α, determined from relationship: where Ho is the gyro motor rotor kinetic moment when the gyro motor is switched off; Io - current gyro sensor torque winding value measured at gyro motor power off moment; ωG - horizontal component of angular velocity of Earth rotation; K is coefficient of gyroblock transfer by current in torque sensor winding, and then at such orientation additional gyro motor is performed and current in gyro sensor torque winding is measured and the speed of rotation of the gyro motor rotor continuously at its run from the rotation speed equal to the rotation speed in the previous start.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy (reliability) of determining the component of the gyro unit error caused by the resonance of its design.
