FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of ion hardening a steel product involves the diffusion of H+ ions throughout the product as it heats to a temperature of 300°C. The introduction of H+ ions is carried out from the ion-plasma flow of argon and water vapour.
EFFECT: hardening the products and increasing their wear resistance.
