SUBSTANCE: device for drying a winding insulation of an electrical machine contains a heating unit capable of providing a direct current flow in the winding of the electrical machine. The device is provided with a container having a main capacity and a lid which together with the main capacity is able to isolate the inner volume of the container from the external environment. The main capacity has a technological compartment containing the heating unit, while the front panel limits the technological compartment from the lid side.

EFFECT: protection of the heating unit against influences of the external environment is achieved.
