FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: imaging device includes a control unit for performing insertion/removal of the infrared radiation cut-off filter in and out of the optical path of the imaging system; a reception unit for receiving the third instruction for instructing the control unit to implement the automatic insertion/removal control of the infrared radiation cut-off filter; and a determination unit configured to determine, whether or not the third instruction includes additional information based on the output of the reception unit. In case, when the determination unit determines that the third command includes additional information, the control unit controls the insertion/removal of the infrared radiation cut-off filter based on additional information, and in case, when the determination unit determines that the third instruction does not include additional information, the control unit controls the insertion/removal of the infrared radiation cut-off filter based on control information that the control unit has in advance.

EFFECT: providing a client device connected to the imaging device via the network, which covers cases, when the imaging device uses additional information related to the insertion and removal of the infrared radiation cut-off filter.
