FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the imaging device, the operations are of which are different for the case of imaging a bright object and for the case of imaging a dark object. Result is achieved in that the imaging device includes the control unit for performing insertion/retraction of the infrared cutoff filter to and from the optical path of the optical imaging system; the receiving unit for receiving the third command for instructing the control unit to automatically control the insertion/removal of the infrared cut-off filter; and a determining unit, which is designed with the possibility to determine whether or not the third command includes additional information based on the output of the receiving unit; in this case, when the determination unit has determined that the third command includes additional information, the control unit controls the insertion/retraction of the infrared radiation cut-off filter based on the additional information, and in the case that the determining unit has determined that the third command does not include the additional information, the control unit controls the insertion/retraction of the infrared cut-off filter based on the control information that the control unit possesses in advance.

EFFECT: technical result is the application of settings through the network so that the imaging device automatically controls the insertion and removal of the infrared radiation cut-off filter into and from the optical path of the optical imaging system.
