FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing a protective oxide film on a metal surface includes the preparation of a matrix made of an iron powder by mixing the iron powder with water in a ratio of 85:15 by weight to give a heterophasic wetted mechanical mixture, compaction of the mixture at a pressing pressure of 1.4…1.6 GPa due to localized shear strains with achievement of residual porosity 1…3% and passivation of the matrix with providing a protective oxide film.
EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance of the matrix material of the product base.
