FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of lubricant to friction surfaces of teeth of its gear rim during wheel rotation, in the zone of wheel engagement with the paired gear wheel of the transmission placed in closed housing. Teeth removed from engagement zone during wheel rotation are subjected to blowing by air flow in the form of separate jets from nozzles positioned on the side of the circumference of the teeth vertices of the gear rim, with a gap relative to it, along the width of the gear rim and oriented radially to the wheel. Air flow along the teeth height is optimized by means of installation the gear rim on both ends, parallel to them and with a gap relative thereto, pairs of flat screens fixed relative to the rotating wheel which length overlaps the width the gear rim recesses and the thickness of a teeth pair. Screens are mounted symmetrically to the nozzles. Screens are located above the circumference of the gear rim vertexes, the distance from the wheel center to the screens is set longer than the value of the gear rim bases circumference radius. The air required to create the air flow is taken from the inside of the transmission body.
EFFECT: improved quality of gear wheel lubrication.
