FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: various methods are provided to control the boost pressure regulator with a drive having a temperature-dependent magnetic field. In one example, the magnetic field is estimated based on the operating conditions and other parameters and used for applying magnetic correction to the voltage supplied to the drive. Methods can provide accurate control of the boost pressure regulator in the presence of alternating magnetic fields, ensuring proper supply of boost to the engine.
