FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: amorphous surface layer is formed by bombarding it with ions of one of the following elements: Y, Yb, C, N. After that, the amorphized surface layer is crystallized by exposing the surface to ultrasonic vibrations with energy sufficient to provide the crystallization process, and the crystallization process is performed until necessary dimensions of nanocrystals are obtained. After that, the ultrasonic exposure is stopped and the material of the product is cooled at a rate ensuring the fixation of processes of the material transition from amorphous state to nanocrystalline one.
