FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device for target molecule detection in the sample comprises a sample container for quantitating the target molecule in the sample; at least one first particle functionalized by the first binding molecule capable of specifically binding to a target molecule; a surface structure comprising the second binding molecule, wherein the surface structure covers a planar surface or is present on at least one second particle. At that, the first particle, which has formed a capturing complex with the target molecule, is capable of binding the second binding molecule of the surface structure directly or indirectly; wherein each first and/or second binding molecule is attached to the particle surface of one of the first and/or second particles and/or the planar surface by a long and rigid linker molecule; where the linker molecule length is selected so that the average length of the linker extension exceeds 60 nm; and wherein the number of clusters of the first and/or second particles bound to each other or the bound first and/or second particles is directly or inversely related to the number of target molecules present in the sample. A method for detection of target molecule presence or amount in a sample is also disclosed.
EFFECT: increased probability of binding of the functionalized particle binding the target molecule to the surface.
