METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SUBCLINICAL DEPRESSION IN PATIENTS WITH POSTMASTECTOMY SYNDROME WITH LESIONS OF THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B6/03 A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2774834 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to medical imaging and laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to diagnose subclinical depression in patients with post-mastectomy syndrome (PMES) with damage to the central nervous system. Perform functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) at rest. At the same time, the zones of the medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC), the cortex of the wedge on both sides, the zones with fusiform gyri, the pole of the right temporal lobe, the left parahippocampal gyrus, and the network of dorsal attention are examined. The obtained images are aligned with the anatomical structures of the brain by conducting a T1-weighted gradient echo pulse sequence with magnetization preparation and rapid data collection. They are compared with the results obtained in the group of patients with PMES without depression, taken as the norm. Additionally, the level of intercellular adhesion molecules in blood serum ICAM-1 and RESAM-1 is determined by enzyme immunoassay. When detecting a decrease in functional connectivity between the MPFC and the left parahippocampal gyrus, the cortex of the wedge on both sides, the fusiform gyri, the pole of the right temporal lobe, the strengthening of negative connections with the network of dorsal attention compared to the norm and ICAM-1 levels above 555 ng/ml and/ or a RESAM-1 level above 99 ng/mL is diagnosed as subclinical depression.

EFFECT: method provides objectivity of diagnostics, allows identifying changes in brain activity by analyzing brain connectivity and endothelial function by quantitatively determining the level of intercellular adhesion molecules in blood serum.
