SUBSTANCE: method for regeneration of particulate filter during the use of the engine producing exhaust gases, in which the first part of the process is carried out by exhaust gases, which comprises the following steps: (a) estimating consumption of fuel to be added to the exhaust gases to reach the required temperature; (b) adding fuel with said consumption rate to the exhaust gases; (c) combusting at least a portion of said fuel in said exhaust gases to increase the temperature of exhaust gases; (d) monitoring the value of exhaust gases temperature and comparing it with required temperature to determine the value of deviation; and (e) storing the value of deviation determined at step d in the memory device; then the second part of the regeneration process is carried out, which includes stage (f) of the step (a) with application of stored value of deviation for correcting the estimated value of fuel consumption, which must be added to the exhaust gases to reach the required temperature.
EFFECT: increased reliability.
