FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for welded joint inspection provides a piezoelectric transducer, mounted on the inspected weld joint, an analytical unit of the acoustic-emission system and a spot heating device, functionally united and integrated in a single structure. It is equipped with a series-connected coordinate-movable device, on which a spot heating device is mounted, and a control unit that is connected to the spot heating device and connected to the output of the analytical unit of the acoustic emission system.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of estimating the size of the heat-affected zone of the welded joint and controlling the structural state of the metallic material in this welded joint zone.
