SUBSTANCE: methods for detection of a human IgE isotype antibody against omalizumab are provided. Sets, methods for identification of a patient at risk of an anaphylactic reaction to omalizumab, and a method for treatment of a patient with an IgE-mediated disorder are also contemplated.
EFFECT: invention allows timely detection of allergic reactions to omalizumab and can be used in therapy and prevention of anaphylaxis.
