FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to detect metal objects (primarily firearms) carried by the tested individuals under clothes through a control zone. The metal detector is made in the form of two vertical columns. In the first rack, a magnetizing coil 3 is horizontally installed, comparable with the height of the rack, connected to the AC generator 5 and one part of which is made by winding the wire clockwise and the remainder - counterclockwise. In the second rack, a receiving coil 4 is horizontally installed, comparable with the height of the rack, made of six sections, arranged at an angle of 45° to the vertical and alternating with winding the wire clockwise and counterclockwise. The receiving coil 4 is connected to the input of the amplifier 6. The first output of the control device 7 is connected to the input of the generator 5, and the second output - to the second input of the synchronous detector 8. The output of the amplifier 6 is connected to the first input of the synchronous detector 8, the output of which is connected to the input of the analyzer 9, the output of which is connected to the input of the indicating unit 10. The indicating unit 10 comprises a digital display mounted on the housing, an indicator light and a LED line of the left channel, as well as an indicator light and a LED line of the right channel. The left channel is designed to display signals from the objects of non-ferrous metal, and the right channel - for ferromagnetic objects. The indicating unit 10 can be equipped with an audible alarm, and also be able to connect external devices.
EFFECT: increasing the width of the control zone while maintaining the radiation power within the acceptable limits.
