FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method of decompression brake control is provided in the engine (102) with exhaust manifold (108) connected to the turbocharger (112). Turbocharger (112) is equipped with a turbine, made with a variable geometry. The turbine is additionally connected to a non-return valve (120) for controlling the pressure drop in the turbine. The method consists in regulating the check valve (120) based on measured engine rate speed (102) and required braking power. Determining the required gas pressure of exhaust manifold (108) based on at least measured engine rate speed (102) and the required braking power. The variable geometry of turbine is adjusted such that the difference between measured gas pressure of exhaust manifold (108) and said determined required gas pressure of exhaust manifold (108) is minimized. The decompression brake control device in the engine, the decompression brake control system in the engine, and the machine-readable non-volatile storage medium are disclosed.
EFFECT: providing the ability to maintain maximum braking power at high engine rate speeds or at high altitudes.
