FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: lighting system contains a plurality of light sources for lighting the area and a control unit adapted to control light sources. The control unit has a user interface that allows the user to select a light scene. The user interface has a screen for displaying information for the user. The control unit is adapted to control the user interface for displaying the selected content on the screen. The content is selected in such a way that the light emitted from the screen during the display of the content contributes to the selected light scene. When the screen is used this way, i.e. in the form of a part of the light scene created by the lighting system, the screen amplifies the light scene and the risk of creating interference to the light scene by the screen is decreased, which leads to improved user perception.
EFFECT: extended range of technical capabilities of lighting systems.
