FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthodontics, and can be used for evaluating results of complex orthodontic treatment of dentoalveolar anomalies in children. For this purpose, an index of support zone sizes, indexes of dental arch contact in transversal, vertical and sagittal directions. Scores are assigned to all four indexes. Further, an index of functional samples is determined. Estimated index is calculated as a sum of scores of all five indexes. Depending on a value of the obtained total score, the result of the treatment is regarded as a good, moderate or minimal.
EFFECT: method allows to conduct an efficient and quick evaluation of the results of treatment of dentoalveolar anomalies in children during the period of a dynamically developing mixed dentition due to definition of a complex evaluation of the support zone sizes, dental arch contact in three directions and functional samples.
