FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to anesthesiology and resuscitation, cardiovascular surgery, technologies of intensive care performed after cardiac surgery, and can be used to assess the potential of alveoli recruitment during artificial ventilation (AV) after cardiac surgery. For this, a simultaneous increase in PEEP up to 20 cm H2O and inspiratory pressure up to 40 cm H2O is carried out with the creation of a finite inspiratory pause for 10 seconds. Simultaneously, the value of an average systemic arterial pressure (BPavg) is estimated. Stable values of BPavg mean high potential of alveoli recruitment. Decreased BPavg by 10 % or more of the initial value indicates a low recruitment of alveoli.
EFFECT: method provides a significant reduction in the number of cardiorespiratory postoperative complications in patients operated under conditions of artificial circulation, a reduction in the financial costs of treatment and improvement of the results of cardiac surgery by taking into account pathophysiology of cardiorespiratory interactions in AV.
