FIELD: food industry; production technology.
SUBSTANCE: relates to the production of active coal for vodka manufacturing. Method includes carbonization of wood raw materials and its vapor-gas activation at a temperature of 850±20 °C to calcination of 35–40 % by weight. As raw material, white maple wood is used, the carbonization is carried out at a rate of temperature rise of 4–8 °C/min reaching the final temperature 500–550 °C. Carbonated coal is cooled without air access to a temperature of 15–25 °C, then subjected to crushing with the separation of a fraction of 1.0–3.6 mm. On the basis of wood raw materials, which is white maple wood, active coal for vodka manufacturing was obtained. It provides a Lange index of oxidation number of an alcohol-water mixture up to 20 and the difference of oxidation susceptibility of the initial and processed alcohol-water mixture to 4.
EFFECT: invention can be used to produce active coals for various branches of food industry.
