FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Recombinant strain of the filamentous fungus Penicillium canescens CL14 ECM F-4706D, producing bacterial thermophilic cellulase Cel5L from Clostridium thermocellum with a molecular weight of 48 kDa is proposed. This strain is obtained by transforming the original P. canescens RN3-11-7 strain niaD(-) with a plasmid carrying the celL gene encoding Cel5L cellulase from the Clostridium thermocellum bacterium. Method for cultivating this strain is also proposed, comprising growing the strain on a nutrient medium of the following composition (g/l): soybean meal – 45, corn extract – 40, KH2PO4 – 6, CaCl2 – 0,23, MgSO4×7H2O – 0,3, yeast extract – 10, wheat bran – 10.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides an effective production of cellulase Cel5L from Clostridium thermocellum in a heterologous fungal host strain.
