SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to detecting analyte in biological fluids. Method for determining blood glucose concentration is performed using a glucose measuring system that includes a test strip and a meter, wherein the meter has a microcontroller programmed to apply a plurality of test voltages to the test strip and to measure the output transient current signal, which is the result of an electrochemical reaction in a test strip assay chamber, herewith the method comprises: inserting the test strip into a port connector for setting the meter strip to connect at least two test strip electrodes with the strip measurement circuit; starting the analysis sequence after applying the sample; applying the first voltage during the first time interval and measuring the first output current value; switching the first voltage over to the second voltage other than the first voltage; changing the second voltage to the third voltage other than the second voltage; measuring the second output current value of the transient current signal from the electrodes after changing from the second voltage to the third voltage; evaluating the third current close to the output value of the steady-state current of the transient current signal, after the third voltage been set on the electrodes; calculating the concentration of glucose in the blood on the basis of the first, the second and the third output current values of the transient current signals using a predetermined ratio. System for measuring the concentration of glucose in the blood is also described.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of analysis is achieved.
