FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for controlling the fuel injection characteristic of a diesel fuel storage system with electromagnetically controlled electrohydraulic injectors, which includes acting on current control pulses, fed to the control solenoid valve of the injector with the possibility of changing the shape of the injection characteristic. Fuel is fed through two groups of nozzle spray holes, wherein spray holes of the first group are located on the locking cone of the sprayer body, with axes directed at an angle of 70–85 degrees from the vertical, and the spray holes of the second group are located lower in the sub-head volume of the nozzle sprayer, with axes directed at an angle to the vertical 4–8 degrees less than for the axes of the holes of the first group.
EFFECT: invention provides a uniform fuel distribution with central location of the nozzle sprayer relative to the combustion chamber in a "deep Hesselman" type piston when controlling injection parameters along the zones of the combustion chamber, and also allows changing the shape of the fuel injection characteristic.
